How to Connect Stripe to MailerLite

With Kayden, you can automatically add Stripe customers to your MailerLite subscriber lists in just a few clicks. This saves you from manual exports and ensures that every buyer gets added to the right email campaign instantly.

πŸš€ Quick Start (3 Steps)

  • Setting up a Stripe integration with your API key
  • Setting up a MailerLite integration with your API key
  • Map products to email lists in Kayden

That’s it β€” when someone buys on Stripe, Kayden automatically adds them to your MailerLite group.

1. Set Up Stripe Integration

1.1 Get Your Stripe API Key

  1. Log in to your Stripe Dashboard
  2. Navigate to Developers, API keys
  3. Create a restricted key
  4. Copy the key

1.2 Add Stripe in Kayden

  1. In your Kayden dashboard, go to Stripe Integrations.
  2. Click New Connection.
  3. Enter:
    • Name: something descriptive (e.g., My Store – Sandbox)
    • API Key: paste your Stripe key
  4. Select the environment: Test Mode or Live Mode.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Confirm the integration shows as Active.

2. Set Up MailerLite Integration

2.1 Get Your MailerLite API Key

  1. Log in to MailerLite.
  2. Go to Integrations, API.
  3. Click Generate new token, give it a name (e.g., Stripe Sync), and copy the token.

2.2 (Optional) Create Groups

  1. In MailerLite, go to Subscribers, Groups.
  2. Click Create group and name it (e.g., Ebook Buyers or Course Students).
  3. Repeat for each product type you want to track.

2.3 Add MailerLite in Kayden

  1. In Kayden, go to Email Service.
  2. Click New Connection.
  3. Enter:
    • Name: e.g., MailerLite Main
    • Email Service: select MailerLite

3. Map Products to MailerLite Groups

Product mappings tell Kayden: "When someone buys Product X in Stripe, add them to Group Y in MailerLite."

  1. In Kayden, go to Automation.
  2. Click New Automation.
  3. Fill in the fields:
    • Stripe Integration: select your connected Stripe account
    • Stripe Product: pick a product from your Stripe catalog
    • Email Service Integration: select your MailerLite integration
    • Email List: choose the group to receive those buyers
  4. Click Save.

πŸ’‘ Pro Tip: You can create multiple automations β€” one for each product you sell β€” and point them to different MailerLite groups.

4. Test Your Setup (Using Sandbox Keys)

We recommend that you start by using your Stripe Sandbox API key to test your setup.
This lets you verify that everything looks right before you switch to your Production API key for live customers.

4.1 Switch to Sandbox Mode

  1. In your Stripe Dashboard, toggle Sandbox Mode (top of the screen).
  2. Copy your Sandbox API key from the API keys page.
  3. Create a new Stripe integration in Kayden with the Sandbox API key.
  4. Create a new automation in Kayden with the Sandbox Stripe integration and the MailerLite integration.

4.2 Make a Test Purchase

  1. In Sandbox mode, create or select a test product.
  2. Complete a checkout using a test card, such as:
4242 4242 4242 4242 (any future expiry date, any CVC).
  3. Enter a real email address (you can use your own).
  4. Finish checkout.
  5. Wait 1–2 minutes for Kayden to sync.

4.3 Verify in MailerLite

  1. Log in to your MailerLite account.
  2. Go to Subscribers, Groups.
  3. Open the group you mapped in Kayden.
  4. Confirm the test email shows up.
